Rayle, Maddocks win Boothbay Harbor seats

    Incumbent Kenneth Rayle was reelected to his Boothbay Harbor Board of Selectmen’s seat, defeating challenger Frank “Linc” Sample 280 to 170 in elections on Friday, May 3.

    The only other contested race was for the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD Board of Trustees, a three-year seat. Sewall Maddocks Jr. defeated Thomas Minerich, 284 to 107.

    Reelected to the Boothbay-Boothbay Harbor CSD School Board was Stephanie Hawke (299 votes); Howard Friant Jr., Cemetery District Board of Trustees (362 votes); Nell Tharpe to the Water District Board of Trustees (362 votes); and Jim Stormont to the Sewer District Board of Trustees (376 votes).

    The annual town meeting to vote on the warrant was scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at 9 a.m. at the Boothbay Harbor Fire Station.
