Decorating for Boothbay Lights

Sun, 11/15/2020 - 8:45am

A volunteer crew showed up at the Eastside Waterfront Park Saturday, Nov. 14 to get the developing property ready for Boothbay Lights. Trees were planted, wreaths and other greenery were put in place, and lights were strung on trees and on the late Capt. Bob and Jean Fish’s house.

Bruce Barter of TPT Trucking volunteered his boom truck and his light hanging expertise to decorate the hardwood trees in front of the house. Volunteers were on ladders and helpers were in an upper floor of the house to secure the wreaths hanging outside the window. Others were decorating the sign post.

Park representatives will be handing out ornaments at the park on Saturday, Nov. 21 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for people to decorate, either for free or for entering a contest for children and adults for $5.
